Village Arts needs Art Instructors!
Our educational programs are expanding into additional school districts
and we are in search of the right people to help us grow:
(Posted 2/15/22) Village Arts is seeking two immediate part-time school art instructors:
Grades 4-8 Instructor, Trenton, NJ
Weekday mornings following school calendar
Two 45 minute classes each day (except Tuesday only has one class) with 1-1.5 hours prep time each day
Suggested schedule is 8:45am-11:45am
Each class will have a teacher assistant that attends with them
Class size is 20 students each
Dedicated art room with adequate supply budget
No grading or testing
Grades K-3 Instructor, Trenton, NJ
Weekday (no Tuesdays) afternoons following school calendar
Two 45 minute classes each day with 1-1.5 hours prep time each day
Suggested schedule is 12:30pm-3:30pm
Each class will have a teacher assistant that attends with them
Class size is 20 students each
Dedicated art room with adequate supply budget
No grading or testing
Responsibilities:
Plan and teach age appropriate lessons to engage students and incorporate elements of art, foundation skills, art history, and social-emotional learning
Manage/organize classroom, supplies, student work, and budget
Exhibit student work
Transition class to virtual learning if necessary
Candidate Requirements:
College degree (or equivalent training/experience), preferably in Art Education, Art Therapy, or Fine Arts
Experience with school-aged children
Fingerprinting/background checks, TB testing, and vaccination
Other Placement Needs:
Bucks County, PA School District Art Instructors for After School Art Enrichment Programs
September through May, 1-3 days per week
Classes will fall between 2pm and 5:30pm
NJ & PA School Districts Summer Camp Art Instructors
Late June - early August, 2-3 days per week
Classes will fall between 8am and 3pm
Occasional Evening/Weekend events throughout the year - mostly local to Burlington, Mercer, and Ocean Counties
